Job Title: Inventory & Warehouse Management Professional

Location: Brownsville, TX

Job Summary:

As an Inventory & Warehouse Management Professional, you will play a key role in ensuring inventory accuracy and warehouse process compliance. You'll be responsible for reviewing procurement and shipping documentation, identifying and resolving discrepancies, ensuring materials are properly stored, and conducting physical inventories. Your work directly supports the availability of tools and equipment required for project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee physical inspections and counts of incoming materials.
  • Review receiving documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading for completeness and accuracy.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of Material Receiving Reports (MRRs).
  • Audit BPS (or equivalent system) data regularly for accuracy and timeliness; generate metrics reports and visual summaries.
  • Identify and document overages, shortages, and damaged materials (OS&D); lead resolution efforts and prepare formal reports.
  • Supervise material storage in line with the project's procurement and storage plans, ensuring accurate location tracking.
  • Coordinate disposal of surplus materials per project management direction.
  • Manage preparation of shipping documentation and registers for materials leaving temporary or job site locations.
  • Administer and maintain on-site tool crib inventory, including accurate data entry in the tool management system.
  • Support regular physical inventory checks to maintain up-to-date and valid inventory records.
  • Participate in the project materials protection program in collaboration with other project stakeholders.
  • Maintain custody and control of all project-related materials.
  • Provide guidance to Inventory Specialists, ensuring adherence to project procedures in all inventory-related tasks.
  • Develop site-specific job instructions and provide on-the-job training for team members.
  • Maintain accurate registers for industrial gas cylinders, returnable reels, and containers.
  • Prepare and maintain construction equipment inspection reports and equipment registers, especially for rental equipment.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) with 2–5 years of relevant experience, or
  • 6–9 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong background in construction material management.
  • In-depth understanding of procedures for shipping, receiving, storing, and issuing construction materials.
  • Skilled in managing documentation and compliance for all inventory and warehouse functions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and material management systems such as BPS.
  • Experience managing Min-Max inventories, consignment materials, and on-site service contractors.
