Inventory Services - Astrix : Job Details

Our Client, a Fortune 500 leader, is hiring for Inventory Services - Onsite Technician. Be part of a team setting science in motion across the biopharma, healthcare and advanced technologies industries. Location: Tarrytown, NY Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm or 8:00am - 4:30pm Pay: $20.00/hr. Type: 6-Month Contract , possibility to convert ***The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping, and customer service. This is a hands-on role involving inventory replenishment, material handling, and logistical coordination.*** Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate replenishment of consumable lab inventory
• Manage inventory at customer's point-of-use or in stockrooms
• Coordinate shipping and receiving activities with third-party couriers
• Handle and manage chemicals, including hazardous materials, in compliance with safety protocols
• Perform basic order entry and track backorders
• Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Operate pallet wrapping equipment
• Perform general warehouse tasks, including lifting (up to 50 lbs) and manual labor
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1-2 years of experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or customer service
• Experience in a laboratory environment or with PPE/signage is a plus
• Previous safety training is helpful

Required Skills:

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a professional, can-do attitude
• Comfortable working with chemicals and adhering to strict safety protocols
• Ability to lift 40-50 lbs.
• Must wear steel toe safety boots
• Must meet all background check and health/safety requirements
