About the Role The Inventory & Procurement Assistant will assist with various functions related to inventory management, including placing production orders and collaborating with sales and planning teams as support for inventory functions. Key Responsibilities (included, but not limited to):
- Collaborate with the Sales team on production placement against prebooked and projected orders for ad hoc and seasonal buys.
- Prepare weekly inventory reports.
- Prepare end-of-month close reports generated from the ERP system.
- Assist in managing the approval process of all production buys
- Assist in managing slow-moving and discontinued inventory processes.
- Assist in monitoring weekly inventory reports and merchandise style coding to ensure all inventory is accurately coded and appearing on the correct inventory reports.
- Manage label code assignments for customer-specific requests.
- Perform any other duties as assigned in support of the company's needs and operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 1-2 years of job-related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office (intermediate to advanced Excel) and database systems.
- Strong business judgement and sense of urgency and can work independently under critical time frames and work on multiple assignments.
- Excellent written and verbal skills to communicate well with others to implement inventory control plans and skills for the creation of reports required.
- Strong attention to detail to notice inventory discrepancies and maintain accurate inventory counts.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret data and draw valid conclusions that show understanding and insight with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to be extremely flexible and adaptable in completing a diverse range of assignments in a timely manner and adaptable to change and can prioritize projects and workload.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and ability to apply good work habits to effectively complete assigned tasks and contribute to the smooth operation of the department and company.
