Job Description :
  • Leads, guides and directs team to include hiring, training, monitoring performance, coaching, terminating in accordance with Company and HR Policies to contribute to the overall success and culture within the organization
  • Daily and continuous review of open orders to ensure prioritization and communication of the production and shipping backlog, on time delivery, and early fulfillment opportunities
  • Generates daily reports for production, shipping, and corporate needs, encompassing burn-down analysis, production occupancy, financial aspects, and to analyze daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages
  • Plans and executes stocktaking according standards
  • Acts as a bridge between customer service and the facility, managing lead times, work orders, and necessary adjustments to meet delivery deadlines and streamline order completion
  • Aids in resolving production and shipping quality concerns by conducting investigations and providing assistance where needed to ensure issues are resolved quickly
  • Provides back up and coverage as required for the production scheduler
  • Assists Production Manager and MPL Manager to ensure production goals are met
  • Responsible for and contacts customer or supplier consignment
  • Responsible for planning stocktaking at subcontractor, consignment stock and external warehouse
  • Handles and tracks scrapping activities for the plant
  • Supports ERP postings (correction movement types)
  • Ensures compliance with audits within the workplace
  • Follows and adheres to all safety rules and regulations
  • Additional duties as assigned

Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or combination of education and experience to provide an equivalent background
  • Inventory, stocktaking, cycle counting and using scanners to track products preferred
  • 2+ years supervisory experience preferred
  • Must possess strong organizational skills with a sense of urgency and attention to detail to prioritize and work well under time pressure
  • Excellent computer skills to include MS Office products with a strong understanding of Excel and basic formulas; ERP skills required, Sage X3 or SAP a plus
  • Forklift certification or experience a plus
  • Must have 5 S skills (keep work area safe and clean)
  • Must work safely and identify all safety issues using the STOP, CALL, WAIT system until repairs are made!
  • Lean Manufacturing experience desired
  • Must have good analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with all levels of employees and customers/vendors
  • Must be able to work as part of a team to ensure all company standards are met
  • Must be able flexible with the ability to adapt to last minute changes
  • Must be able to read, understand and comply with written and verbal instructions, company processes and procedures and safety policies
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
