As an Inventory Optimization Planner, you will be the key consultant to business leaders ensuring adequate information is received from customers, sales, marketing, and other sources to construct appropriate demand and sales forecasts. You will work a hybrid schedule and report to the Manager - Stores Replenishment Planning. Key Responsibilities
- Establish metrics to determine bias and improve forecast accuracy.
- Develop rough-cut capacity plans to highlight demand vs. capacity to support make-to-stock and make-to-order environments.
- Ensure inventory level optimization to minimize cost.
- Incorporate demand and sales forecast information, capacity constraints, and inventory requirements into a comprehensive sales and operations planning (S&OP) process.
- Pull data from SAP, Microsoft Access, and SAP BI to provide inventory analysis and to plan store sales meetings.
- Maintain planning system/software by entering and modifying data, ensuring correctness and managing parameters that affect integrity of the POS forecast.
- Forecast accuracy measures including MAPE, bias, trend usage tracking, replenishment order acceptance, SLOB inventory, inventory targets and SKU in-stocks.
- Work with store sales teams to ensure inventory/forecast needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Inventory, Supply, or Demand planning.
- Drive for sales results required.
- SAP and Power BI experience.
- Prior presentation experience.
- APICS certification as a CPIM preferred.
