They ensure inventory levels are accurate by identifying and resolving discrepancies, often using inventory management systems and processes. Key Job ResponsibilitiesPerforming Cycle Counts:Physically counting a subset of inventory items in a specific location on a regular basis.Reconciling Inventory:Comparing physical counts with inventory records to identify and resolve discrepancies.Researching Discrepancies:Investigating the causes of inventory differences and recommending corrective actions.Maintaining Inventory Records:Updating inventory data and bin locations accurately.Supporting Inventory Processes:Assisting with tasks like receiving, storing, and shipping materials, and tracking uncommon products.Following Safety Procedures:Adhering to all safety rules and regulations within the warehouse environment. Qualifications/RequirementsHigh School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is generally required. Basic Computer Skills: Ability to use computer systems and software for inventory management. Attention to Detail: Accuracy and carefulness are essential for ensuring inventory accuracy. Physical Abilities: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs or more, depending on the specific job requirements. Experience: Some roles may require prior warehouse experience or experience with cycle counting.
