Job Description :

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

8:30 AM – 5 PM

Duration: 3+ months, potential for temp-to-direct hire

The Operations Associate II is responsible for accurately monitoring, tracking, transacting, and transferring materials in accordance with standard operating procedures and in compliance with applicable regulatory agency requirements. This role also is the backup for materials requirements planning, purchasing and supplier relationship management.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately.
  • Responsible for material movement and fulfillment including but not limited to Material Transfer Requests (MTR), Kanban 3-Bin systems, consumables and supplies.
  • Responsible for identifying, tracking and maintaining inventory levels for all materials including items with expiration dates.
  • Perform scheduled and non-scheduled audits of inventory levels, completing reconciliation transactions and reports as required / directed.
  • Shipping of product, materials, and other items in accordance with established processes, procedures and practices.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of shipments, receipts, material transfers, and work orders.
  • Accurately perform inventory transactions, updates and data maintenance within the Materials Resource Planning (MRP) system.
  • Responsible for stocking, labeling and maintaining the warehouse in a neat and orderly fashion, keeping in compliance with Safety and Fire Regulations
  • Assist Buyer/Planner in procurement and planning needs.
  • Generates RFQ's for procurement of parts or services by quantity, pricing by lead time, special fees, expedite parameters, Kanban, delivery quantity tolerance, and delivery on-time tolerance parameters, etc.
  • Generates, communicates, and coordinates purchase orders for production materials to meet the overall production schedule.
  • Assist in the planning of schedules and inventory control parameters for assigned products and services consistent with customer requirements or as arranged with requisitioners. Customer service experience is highly desired and must be computer MRP literate.
  • Follow up with suppliers to obtain necessary paperwork to process receipt of goods, i.e. incomplete Certificate of Conformance; Safety Data Sheet Required
  • Hazardous Waste Management from weekly accumulation and disposal as needed.
  • Support Facilities as needed.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficiency with Hand Tools: Must have experience working with various hand tools in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel between multiple sites across the Bay Area as required for project needs. Reliable transportation is essential.
  • Valid Driver's License: Must maintain a valid California driver's license. related field.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Familiarity with computers and basic software programs such as Word or Excel is required. A minimum of two years' experience in warehousing and understanding of the medical device industry is preferred. Must be able to lift 40 pounds.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Experience and intermediate skill level in Microsoft Excel and Word and ERP Software. Working knowledge of manufacturing process in the medical device industry is desired
