My client in the Oil & Gas industry are seeking a talented Inventory Control Specialist to join their team. The Inventory Control Specialist will play a critical role in managing and optimizing my client's inventory processes. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating with various departments to ensure efficient inventory flow, and implementing strategies to minimize waste and costs. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a background in inventory management, preferably within the oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking, ordering, and restocking of materials.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with procurement, operations, and logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient inventory flow.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and reduce costs.
  • Monitor inventory levels to anticipate shortages or excesses and adjust orders accordingly.
  • Utilize inventory management software to maintain real-time inventory data.
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, forecast needs, and provide actionable insights.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding inventory management.
  • Assist in the development and training of staff on inventory control processes and best practices.

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or similar role, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software - experience with ERP systems is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices in inventory management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
