Title: Inventory Control Manager
Reports to: Operations Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Job Purpose
The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring inventory integrity within the Stockton facility. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective supervision of leads and associates, and the ability to drive operational excellence in line with company standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily Inventory Control operations across all shifts.
- Ensure compliance with safety, production, and sanitation standards.
- Manage cycle count program to maintain accuracy.
- Create and re-profile pick locations for new and existing items.
- Run and analyze inventory reports (e.g., Pick Hits, Lost in Cycle Count, Expiration Management, Adjustments).
- Oversee and process transfer orders (TOs), return-to-vendor (RTVs), and product dispositions (dump and destroy).
- Troubleshoot issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Research purchase order discrepancies and conduct analytical investigations.
- Operate forklifts as needed to support inventory operations.
- Conduct QA and spot checks for code dates.
- Report employee errors and complete incident reports as required.
- Safeguard inventory integrity by monitoring and addressing variances.
- Assist the Control Center in managing inventory-related concerns.
- Attend and actively contribute to daily production meetings.
- Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain high-quality service.
- Monitor warehouse inventory to minimize temporary out-of-stocks (TOS) and shortages.
- Assign work, schedule shifts, breaks, and vacations, and conduct periodic employee evaluations in line with HR policies.
- Collaborate with other warehouse supervisors and associates on policies, procedures, and training.
- Address customer concerns/complaints, investigate discrepancies, and implement solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and employee engagement.
- Ensure productivity and quality standards are communicated and maintained.
- Remain flexible to work any shift as needed to support business requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Distribution Center and Operations Manager.
Minimum Requirements
- High level of computer literacy, including WMS systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead, train, and supervise teams.
- Ability to initiate, implement, and oversee inventory control programs.
- Some college coursework preferred; equivalent warehouse supervisory experience considered.
- Wholesale industry experience preferred.
Education & Experience
- Some college-level management education and/or 2+ years of warehouse supervisory experience in the wholesale industry.
Computer Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong knowledge of WMS systems.
Reasoning Ability
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse workforce.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.

- Extended periods of sitting at a computer workstation.
