The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing our inventory management processes. In this role, you will manage all aspects of inventory, including ordering, storage, distribution, and reporting. You will also set and enforce policies to maintain accurate stock levels, ensure inventory accuracy, and minimize costs. Your focus on efficiency, accuracy, and team leadership will support the company's overall supply chain and operational goals. The position reports directly to management and supervises one Inventory Analyst and two Material Handlers.

Compensation: $81,000 - $107,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Supervise inventory staff and operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management & Accuracy: Oversee daily inventory operations, ensure accurate stock levels through audits, develop and enforce inventory policies, reconcile counts, analyze trends, and maintain an organized warehouse layout.
  • Inventory Control Systems & Reporting: Maintain and optimize inventory control systems (e.g., Syteline ERP), oversee analytics reporting, and collaborate with finance and auditors.
  • Supplier & Vendor Coordination: Resolve issues with suppliers, work with procurement to align inventory needs.
  • Cost Management & Reduction: Implement cost-saving measures, reduce excess inventory, and monitor inventory holding costs.
  • Team Leadership & Training: Supervise and train staff, foster a safe and organized environment, lead team meetings.

Qualifications:

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management software (e.g., MRP systems).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Mathematical and statistical analysis skills.
Success Indicators:
  • Timely supply of accurate kits on the production floor.
  • Achievement of accurate inventory records.
  • Reduction in discrepancies and waste.
  • Efficient inventory replenishment supporting operational goals.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in inventory management.
  • Experience establishing Inventory Management Systems.
  • Inventory management certifications (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) are a plus.
  • Experience in manufacturing is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and lift for long periods.
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25+ pounds.
