JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Title: Material Control Specialist for both A/B-shift
Location: Greer, SC 29651 (On-site)
Duration: 10-months contract (Long-term assignment possibilities of extension)
A-shift hours: 8am-5 pm
B-Shift hours: 7pm-6 am
Day to day: include: Overseas material control specialist, all basics required for steering and collaborating with suppliers. The nuance to this department is that it's for overseas supply (ship to 7 different countries). This person doesn't need to have previous international material control experience.
Nice to have: Highly preferred to have SAP experience.
Must be 100% : onsite during onboarding period, after this the team rotates 1 day work from home a week (rotating basis).
Position Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
• Perform basic data processing and parameter administration in the Material Control System.
• Control part availability for ongoing series production, parts run-in and run-out, and processing of technical and software changes to minimize obsolescence costs.
• Monitor internal supply chain processes impacting part availability line-side across multiple departments, including Procurement, Engineering, Assembly, and other Logistics Departments.
• Maintain and analyze monthly Supplier rating and yearly SUMIS rating information. Initiate corrective actions with suppliers and required escalations as delegated by the Section Manager.
• Monitor the training of new hires.
• Control supplies and stock by timely planning the correct quantity at the correct software level of parts, optimizing the stock on hand.
• Run Material Requirements Planning (MRP) reports, supplier releases, and delivery schedules to ensure material availability.
• Coordinate flash campaigns with Assembly, Engineering, Physical Logistics, and contractors, including line feed situations.
• Determine flash locations (internal, external).
• Coordinate mode of transportation changes.
Education:
• BA/BS degree in Logistics, Business Administration, International Business, or 4 years equivalent professional experience in Material Planning, including Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
Experience:
• 4+ years of related experience in Material Planning, including Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Advanced knowledge of computer skills, including Microsoft Office, SAP, TAIS (preferred)
• Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written
• Advanced leadership skills
• Advanced proficiency in German or Spanish language skills (preferred)
Working Conditions
• May be required to work overtime, evenings, and weekends, including holidays, sometimes in inclement weather conditions.

• May be exposed to radiation or electromagnetic fields, lasers, noise >80db, allergens, biohazards, chemicals, asbestos.
• May work in confined spaces, at heights from 4 to over 10 feet, and be exposed to hot and cold temperature extremes.
