Job Title: Inventory Asset Manager Department: Finance Reports To: Director of Finance FLSA Status: Exempt License: Class III Closing Date: Open Until Filled Training: Will receive training under Current Manager SUMMARY: Supervises and coordinates activities of the warehouse and soft count staff. Responsible for the organization's property control system operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Exhibits and promotes a friendly, helpful, and courteous attitude when dealing with the public and fellow associates.
- Ensures the safeguarding of casino assets.
- Responsible for development, implementation, upkeep, and overall operation of the property management system within the organization; consisting of real property (building and land), controlled (leased equipment), capitalized (assets), and non-capitalized property.
- Provides input to computer programming personnel regarding changes to existing programs and when requesting new programs, develop new requirements for modified programs.
- Assist in the evaluation, classification, reporting, and final disposition of capitalized and non-capitalized property.
- Assist in planning, directing, supervising, and coordinating programs related to the acquisition, release, construction, renovation, repair, improvement, and management of real property of the organization.
- Plans layout of warehouse complex, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and other related factors of items stored.
- Provides guidance to associates on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped. Provides training and guidance to associates in the safe methods and use of equipment used to handle, store, maintain and ship stock.
- Reviews records and recommends remedial actions for items identified as non-usable, slow moving or excess.
- Reviews stock levels and makes adjustment recommendations to maintain operational efficiency.
- Reviews records for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with established procedures.
- Oversees work schedules for soft count and warehouse staff.
- Reviews discrepancies between physical inventory and stock control records to determine the cause for the differences and initiates corrective action.
- Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
- Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job directly supervises associates in the Warehouse Department and Soft Count Room Department . Incumbent will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training associates; planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining associates; addresses and resolves complaints and problems. KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Must have knowledge of computerized property accountability system(s); the overall inventory management system, methods, and techniques used; and an understanding of the functional relationship of the documentary management of property, to include physical distribution utilization and disposal. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, guests and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited to standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. The position exists in a casino work environment where there is exposure of the associate to noise and cigarette smoke from the casino floor.
