Inventory and Materials Management Supervisor

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The incumbent provides direct supervision of shipping personnel to meet delivery, safety, service, and cost objectives of the department, utilizing tools such as ERP and other systems as required. Responsible for monitoring and controlling inventory integrity through SAP, as well as supporting all other inventory and warehousing initiatives. This position oversees and is responsible for the work and results of multiple teams regarding inventory management.

Typical Job Duties Include:

  • Supervises shipping, receiving, and warehouse activities to ensure product quality and shipment standards are met or exceeded. Participates in personnel activities such as training, performance reviews, discipline, safety, payroll, 5S, and other initiatives. Determines staffing levels and priorities based on weekly production schedules and makes daily assignments. Assists team members with troubleshooting and problem-solving. Coordinates with other supervisors for incoming product handling. May act as interim supervisor in other departments as needed.
  • Ensures efficient and timely shipments to sales and consignment locations, maintaining accuracy in item counts, packaging, paperwork, and delivery. Organizes inbound and outbound traffic and manages freight payments. Oversees inventory movement, including work-in-progress (WIP) to manufacturing, outside services, and vendors, along with related paperwork. Manages the procurement and warehousing of packaging materials to support manufacturing and shipping standards, including purchasing and quotation requests.
  • Prepares export control documentation to comply with U.S. government regulations, including EEI filings and export licenses, staying updated on regulation changes.
  • Ensures safe unloading of shipments at the manufacturing facility, completes related paperwork promptly, and maintains accurate inventory records. Manages inventory movement and recording for receivables.
  • Controls raw materials, mixes, and finished goods inventory through cycle counts, variance investigations, and monthly/annual physical inventories. Coordinates and manages annual physical inventories and cycle count schedules. Performs SAP adjustments, understanding their financial impact. Reviews daily COGI errors and investigates material variances to ensure proper production flow and inventory accuracy. Maintains inventory accuracy metrics and reports, communicating results to management.
  • IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

    An associate's degree is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.

    Minimum of one year of responsible manufacturing experience required.

    BENEFITS IN JOINING US

    We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package, including a pay range of $70,000 to $108,000 annually, with potential variations based on location, experience, and other factors. The position is eligible for an annual bonus, targeted at 9% of base salary, with a total target cash compensation range of $76,300 to $117,700. Bonus payments are variable and performance-based.
