**Childrens Inventory Analyst PYR and RH**

Penguin Random House is seeking an **Inventory Analyst** to join our team in **Publishing Operations.** In this role, you will be reporting to the Senior Director overseeing both Penguin Young Readers and Random House Childrens Books. You will be working with their team to maintain targeted inventory levels for backlist titles, planning and forecasting, maintaining the integrity of information stored in SAP and serving as a liaison between customer service/warehouse personnel and production departments. You will be responsible for maintaining data concerning reprints and ensuring the appropriate inventory levels for new releases. You will be an integral part of the inner workings of supply chain interacting daily with Sales, Production, Customer Service and the Warehouse.

**Responsibilities:**

* Liaise with customer service and the warehouse to address both customer and receiving issues and ensure timely receipt of books.

* Review Box Sets monthly and order pack ups

* Liaise with Sales to estimate needs for seasonal titles

* Prepare monthly excess reviews for Publisher meetings

* Review components at the printers for obsolescence

* Review sales/POS reports to identify trends and suggest reprints

* Liaise with the Inventory Operations team to provide additional details on significant changes of inventory excess rates monthly

* Maintain quarterly clean-up of titles in the warehouse

**Requirements:**

* Previous experience in Inventory Management or Sales preferred

* A minimum of 1-2 years of publishing experience preferred

* Excellent analytical skills; comfortability with numbers and data

* Excellent written and oral communication skills

* Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills

* Demonstrates the ability to thrive in a deadline driven working environment

* Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and proactively and creatively problem solve

* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Power BI a plus but not required
