Join Our Team as a Therapist Intern!

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of others? At New Directions Mental Health, we're looking for dedicated Therapist Interns to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for you to gain hands-on experience while providing direct care in a supportive clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of a supervisor, you will:

• Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new patients and their families.
• Provide individualized and family therapy based on identified needs.
• Ensure timely completion of billing, documentation, individualized treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms.
• Develop crisis plans, safety plans (as needed), relapse prevention plans, and wellness plans to help maintain stable functioning.
• Create effective discharge plans.
• Comply with all current federal and state laws, regulatory requirements, and NDMH policies and procedures.
• Participate in case consultation and agency meetings.
• Fulfill all mandatory training requirements.

Qualifications:

• You are in your final year of a Master of Social Work, Master's in Mental Health Counseling, or Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy.
• You have a strong interest in providing clinical outpatient mental health services.
