At New Directions Mental Health, we are excited to welcome Therapist Interns to our growing team! This is a remarkable opportunity for you to gain hands-on experience and make a meaningful impact on patients' lives in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of a supervisor:
- Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new patients and their families.
- Provide individualized and family therapy tailored to the specific needs of patients.
- Complete billing, documentation, individualized treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms in a timely manner.
- Develop effective crisis plans, safety plans, relapse prevention plans, and wellness plans to promote stable functioning.
- Create comprehensive discharge plans for patients.
- Adhere to all current federal and state laws, regulatory requirements, and NDMH policies and procedures.
- Participate in case consultation and agency meetings for continued professional growth.
- Complete all mandatory training necessary to excel in your role.
Qualifications:
- Currently in your final year of a Master of Social Work, Master's in Mental Health Counseling, or Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy program.
- A strong interest in providing clinical outpatient mental health services.
