The Information Security Operations Intern contributes to Mastercard's efforts to identify, assess, and remediate security risks across its global infrastructure. This role involves assisting with vulnerability scanning, analyzing threat data, and supporting remediation workflows in collaboration with engineering and operations teams. Interns help monitor systems for emerging vulnerabilities, document findings, and contribute to process improvements that enhance the company's security posture.
The position emphasizes analytical thinking, technical curiosity, and a foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles, with exposure to tools and practices such as penetration testing, secure SDLC, and network assessments.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
