Position Summary

The Drug Product team within the Cell Therapy Technical Operations Commercial Labs department is seeking an intern to serve as technical support for the study of CART product processes in our New Jersey CTTO Laboratories. This position is highly cross-functional, building collaborations with Manufacturing, Manufacturing Sciences and Technology, Process Development, Analytical, and Global Regulatory Sciences. This role will report to a Senior Engineer within the CTTO Commercial Labs group.

The full-time internship will take place June - August 2026.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Design of Experiments (DoE) and execute experiments related to cell culture, cell harvest, and media analysis using full-scale or scale-down models
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to executed experiments
  • Work aseptically in a biosafety cabinet
  • Assist in preparation of protocol studies and reports to support GMP manufacturing activities
  • Embody the BMS behaviors and embrace the culture with BMS and the Cell Therapy Technical Operations Organization
Qualifications & Experience
  • BSc or MS candidate in STEM field (e.g. chemical engineering, biology, or equivalent)
  • Practical knowledge of the technologies related to cell culture and bioprocess engineering
  • Interest in hands on laboratory work and experience in working in a biologic lab setting
  • Interest in assessing scientific technologies and their applications in the Cell Therapy industry
  • Organizes and presents data for internal and external groups
  • Effectiveness in both team environments and as an individual contributor with supervision
  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the US both at the time of hire and for the duration of their employment. Please note that immigration or visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

This is a temporary, time-bound position intended for the duration of the internship or co-op program. Employment in this role does not imply or guarantee ongoing or permanent employment with BMS.

The starting hourly compensation for this assignment is within the range of $23.00 to $42.00/hr. Please note that the final individual compensation and any applicable benefits will be determined by your employer of record (and not BMS). Factors influencing this decision may include the characteristics of the assignment, such as demonstrated experience, required skill, and the geographic location of the job. Compensation details are subject to change.
