We're looking for a dynamic and collaborative design leader to oversee an interiors practice in New York. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a talented team across a diverse range of projects, including custom homes, hospitality, and mixed-use developments. You'll bring an organized and thoughtful approach, thrive on fresh ideas, and have a curiosity for crafting unique solutions. In this role, you'll mentor and inspire the interiors team, fostering a culture of excellence and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide creative leadership across all interiors work, championing design quality and innovation.
  • Develop tailored design solutions that respond to the unique context of each project.
  • Guide and mentor the interiors team, encouraging collaboration and professional growth.
  • Build strong client relationships and support business development efforts.
  • Contribute to developing and refining the financial and operational model for the interiors practice.
  • Oversee all aspects of FF&E, including design, budgeting, vendor management, procurement, and project close-out.

What We're Seeking:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design (Master's preferred).
  • At least 10 years of experience in design leadership, including a minimum of 3 years leading an interiors team or studio.
  • Proven experience in luxury residential projects as well as other project types, such as hospitality and mixed-use.
  • A passion for innovation and exploring unique materials and details.
  • A track record of design excellence, demonstrated by a portfolio of significant built work.
  • Strong storytelling, presentation, and communication skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and a curious, probing approach to design challenges.
  • Confidence in leading projects from concept through execution.
  • Expertise in design management and technical aspects of interiors.
  • A keen interest in material research and craftsmanship.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit (preferred but not required)

This opportunity is located in New York City, with a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office, 2 remote.
