Overview

The Interim/Temporary Director of Investor Relations is sought by a leading asset management firm with $10 billion in AUM. The role provides leadership and continuity across investor relations, product management, and client service during a transitional period.

Position Overview:

The Interim Director of Investor Relations will serve as the primary point of contact for existing and prospective institutional investors, ensuring seamless communication, reporting, and service. This role will oversee investor relations strategy, support fundraising initiatives, and coordinate with internal teams to deliver timely and accurate client deliverables. The position requires a highly experienced professional who can step in quickly, operate with limited onboarding, and manage multiple priorities with discretion and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as lead relationship manager for institutional investors, addressing inquiries and delivering a high standard of client service.
  • Oversee preparation and distribution of investor reporting, performance updates, and fund communications.
  • Support fundraising and capital-raising initiatives, including RFP/DDQ completion, pitch materials, and investor presentations.
  • Partner with investment, finance, legal, and compliance teams to ensure accuracy and consistency of all client-facing materials.
  • Manage the product management function, including positioning of strategies, competitor analysis, and ongoing product development support.
  • Organize and oversee investor meetings, roadshows, and events (both virtual and in-person).
  • Maintain CRM systems, investor records, and pipeline tracking.
  • Provide senior leadership with insights into investor sentiment, market trends, and competitor developments.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in investor relations, capital raising, or product management within asset management, private equity, or alternative investments.
  • Proven ability to manage sophisticated institutional relationships.
  • Strong understanding of investment products, performance metrics, and portfolio reporting.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment and manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard CRM, data, and reporting platforms.
  • Interim/Temporary position, with an expected duration of 3-4 months.
