Interim Head of Product Development - DIBS Beauty : Job Details

DIBS Beauty is seeking an Interim Head of Product Development to step in and lead our innovation engine during an exciting growth phase. Reporting to the VP of Marketing and partnering closely with our Co-Founders, you'll oversee the development and execution of new beauty products from concept to commercialization.

We're seeking a strategic and executional powerhouse with a proven background in color cosmetics with strong experience in both complexion and color who understands how to build best-in-class formulas, partner with top-tier labs, and bring products to life that resonate with our highly engaged community.

• Oversee and manage product launches scheduled for the second half of 2026 and 2027
• Lead PD/Packaging team of 3 direct reports: Senior Manager of Packaging, PD Coordinator & Project Manager Consultant
• Lead and oversee ongoing development inclusive of R&D and packaging. Attending on-site visits when needed to deliver an approvable formula and component based on brief & vision.
• Working with current lab/chemist and ingredient suppliers to enhance product performance and troubleshoot formulation challenges. Offering solutions and recommending ingredient replacements or alternatives when needed.
• Propose and conduct appropriate product and packaging testing needed for regulatory, clinicals & claim validation
• Oversee smooth transition from lab formulation to production and QC validation
• Manage relationships with all relevant vendors and third-party stakeholders
• Communicate with internal and external teams to ensure alignment across all project phases / attend all meetings

Hourly Expectations: 30-40 hours a week
