Overview
Graham Packaging is seeking a dynamic and multidisciplinary Intelligent Factory Program (IFP) Integration Engineer to introduce new technologies with the goal of optimizing plant systems, equipment performance, and product quality. The IFP Integration Engineer will be responsible for connecting our manufacturing assets to our cloud infrastructure across GPC plants and ensuring sustainable, cultural adoption of the new systems. This requires a candidate with the ability to coordinate resources, understand PLC control systems, understand IT/OT standards and architectures to determine an optimal path towards digitization and connectivity. The IFP Integration Engineer will have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative working environment, maintain a high levels of personal accountability, and be able to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization. A qualified candidate will be knowledgeable in the Factory IoT architecture for troubleshooting, have the ability to simplify and explain complex processes, and use a deep understanding of the manufacturing process to identify and quantify value drivers.
The position is remote and will require 35-50% travel.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
The IFP Integration Engineers responsibilities are to:
Setup, configure, and analyze industrial PC's, PLC I/O, SCADA, and AVEEVA PI systems.
Modify existing HMI and PLC software as necessary for job requirements.
Lead cross functional problem-solving investigations using PDCA Thinking
Evaluate plant feedback to recognize continuous improvement opportunities and provide feedback for technical innovations.
Develop and improve Standard Operating Procedures as they apply to the execution of connectivity solutions.
Transform sensors and software on existing machinery to digitalize and analyze the output.
Travel to plant facilities where required to access isolated automation systems.
Provide phone and internet troubleshooting support for machine connectivity at existing plant facilities.
Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of IT / OT system architecture
Experience with AVEVA PI
Strong organizational and project management skills for mid-size
Strong communication skills
Strong troubleshooting skills
Skilled in facilitation of Problem solving, FMEA, Kaizen, Lean tools
Strong coaching and mentoring skills to drive engagement and ownership
Ability to get work accomplished through influence versus authority
Experienced in optimizing the performance of:
Factory systems and line process inputs
Quality systems for defect elimination
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
BS degree in Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing or similar technical field
At least 5 years of experience working with plant operations in multi-line manufacturing plant
Experienced working in the plastics industry preferred
The standard compensation for this role is $94,600 - 141,900. Salary offers will be determined based on final candidate
qualifications, experience, skillset, and other relevant factors.
Compensation Statement
The expected salary range for the position described in this posting is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain jurisdictions within the United States. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
