Role Overview
We're building the next generation of autonomous vehicles — and we need a low voltage integration expert who thrives in the chaos and excitement of a startup environment. In this role, you'll take ownership of integrating, commissioning, and troubleshooting the 12V/24V systems that keep our AV platforms alive and talking. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with mechanical, software, and test teams to bring prototype vehicles from CAD drawings to fully functional, road-ready machines.
This is not a “desk-only” role — expect to split your time between hands-on wiring, in-vehicle debugging, and system-level problem-solving in a fast-paced workshop and test track environment.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle-Level Low Voltage Integration
Own the integration of all LV systems in prototype AV platforms — from power distribution units to ECU networks.
Install, route, and connect prototype wiring harnesses, fuse/relay boxes, and electrical modules.
Ensure proper grounding, shielding, and signal integrity across vehicle domains (body, chassis, ADAS, compute).
System Commissioning & Bring-Up
Lead power-on procedures and verify system readiness for bench and vehicle-level testing.
Validate ECU communication (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and confirm signal mapping to AV software systems.
Support autonomous system bring-up, including sensor and compute integration.
Troubleshooting & Rapid Iteration
Diagnose and fix electrical integration issues in real time — from blown fuses to CAN bus conflicts.
Work with software engineers to resolve communication mismatches, network errors, and sensor integration faults.
Adapt wiring and system setups on-the-fly as vehicle designs evolve.
Startup Mindset & Collaboration
Collaborate daily with hardware, software, and mechanical teams to keep prototype builds on schedule.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for quick-turn parts, harness mods, and component swaps.
Contribute to process improvements for faster, cleaner, and more reliable LV integration.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
3+ years in LV system integration for automotive prototypes, motorsport, EV, or AV programs.
Strong knowledge of 12V/24V power distribution, fuse/relay logic, and automotive networking (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
Skilled with diagnostic tools: multimeter, oscilloscope, CANalyzer/CANoe, and wiring diagram software.
Comfortable working in a dynamic, ambiguous environment with shifting priorities.
Preferred:
Experience in autonomous vehicle or EV system integration.
Harness fabrication/modification skills (crimping, soldering, sealing).
Familiarity with automotive electrical standards (LV124, ISO 16750, UN ECE R10).
Exposure to mixed HV/LV environments.
