BHcare is seeking aIntake Specialistto provide compassionate, trauma-informed care to survivors at high risk, helping them reclaim safety, stability, and self-determination.Who We AreBHcare is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic offering integrated care for individuals and families navigating mental health, substance use, and domestic violence. Apply today!QualificationsBilingual (English/Spanish) required. Must demonstrate oral and written skills.Bachelor's Degree requiredTwo years Advocacy and/or direct service experience working with survivors of domestic violence in a community-based setting preferredMust be able to obtain and maintain the domestic violence counselor certification per CGS 52-146K before providing direct service to clients, followed with six-hour recertification Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of clientsKnowledge of community resourcesCrisis intervention and counseling skillsStrong Written Communication skillsExcellent customer service skillsMust be proficient in Microsoft 365. Must be able to navigate through electronic health records system (EHR). May be required to take additional training (i.e., sexual assault, hot line, etc.)
