Intake Coordinator- RN - Universal Health Services : Job Details

The Intake Coordinator- RN handles inquiry calls, schedules assessments, and performs psychiatric assessments for individuals seeking help. Staff provides clinical disposition based on their findings, consult with the psychiatrist, and refers individuals to the appropriate level of care. RN will medically evaluate patient on arrival if patient presents as unstable needing evaluated, on call physician will then be contacted for recommendations. In some cases, will perform job duties of the call specialist if it is a need for the department at that time. Community resources are given, coordination of care with psychiatrists, referring agency and hospital personnel and insurance companies are provided. Demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on physical, developmental, psychological, educational, and safety-related criteria based on age/population served.
