Your responsibilities in this role may include:
- Treat all clients and staff with dignity and respect
- Manage all phases of pre-admission /intake services for assigned programs, including timely and accurate completion of clinical assessments
- Maintain efficient admissions/intake assessment procedures, ensuring appropriate referrals to program
- Participates with the multidisciplinary team to assess, evaluate, and determine the need for services
- Completes telephonic and face-to-face interviews with individuals presenting for admission
- Oversee and ensure client intake to care/transition, ensuring completion of documentation within the electronic health record system
- Completes all required reports for funding sources
- Maintain proficiency in assessment, intake and level of care protocols, utilizing the ASAM criteria
- Ensure accurate, up-to-date, intake records, records of referral, and funding sources
- Conduct admission funding reviews with relevant payor(s)
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with funding, referral and regulatory agencies
- Other duties as assigned by the Admissions or Program Director, or designee
- Knowledge of regulatory, licensing, and accreditation standards
- Knowledge and ability to work with electronic health record systems
- Knowledge of substance use and mental health disorder treatment programs
- Knowledge and skill in assessment/evaluation and intake process and procedures
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in developing, implementing, interpreting and evaluating program policies, procedures and regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work with clients to gain confidence and cooperation
- Ability to successfully work with others from various cultures and backgrounds
- Ability to plan and organize work and prepare appropriate, accurate records, and reports
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff, health care providers, referral entities, outside agencies, institutions and the general public
- Skilled at using computers, including familiarity and faculty with Microsoft Office programs like Word and Excel
Education/ Training: Must hold a master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field with active DC independent clinical licensure (e.g. LICSW, LPC, LMFT, or licensed psychologist)
