Geocomp also manufactures, sells, and offers expert technical support for our fully automated laboratory testing systems to commercial, research, and academic labs, globally.Job DetailsWe are looking for an Instrumentation and Monitoring Technician or Engineer to join our team at Geocomp!As a member of our Instrumentation & Monitoring team, you will contribute to the design, installation, and operation of complex monitoring systems on heavy civil infrastructure projects. This hybrid role combines field and office work, supporting both instrumentation systems and geo-structural engineering services.The ideal candidate will be technology-minded, a strong communicator, naturally curious, and eager to learn on the job. Whether you are just starting out or bring years of experience, this is a great opportunity to grow within an internationally recognized monitoring and instrumentation group.Key Responsibilities:Assemble, configure, and program data loggers and instrumentationInstall and maintain geotechnical and structural monitoring systemsConduct field inspections and supervise drill rigs, including soil samplingDraft boring logs and document field activitiesDownload, process, and analyze field data for performance insightsPrepare technical reports and visualizations for clientsCommunicate effectively with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and site personnelUse hand tools and power tools for instrumentation installation (e.g., hammer drill, sawzall)Travel to field sites, including overnight and occasional weekend workPerform climbing and lifting tasks (up to 50 lbs.) during installations and removalsQualifications:RequiredBachelor's of Science in Engineering, Geology, or Environmental ScienceProven ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teamsDemonstrated attention to detail and commitment to quality and process adherenceProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)Construction experience and familiarity with electronics or programming are considered a plus.Benefits Package: 401(k) with company matchComprehensive health insuranceHealth savings account (HSA)Paid time off (PTO)Professional development assistanceEmployee referral programOur Hiring ProcessAt Geocom, we are committed to delivering a respectful, inclusive, and transparent recruitment experience.Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we may not be able to provide individual feedback to every applicant.
