Instructional Support Technician /Machinist - Stony Brook University : Job Details

Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). In lieu of a bachelor's degree, four (4) years of full-time related technical experience or a combination of experience and an apprenticeship program or technical/trade school totaling four (4) full-time years may be considered. Two (2) years of full-time related technical experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with conventional milling and lathe work, 3 Axis CNC machining, welding and/or prototype machining. Experience or training utilizing computer design (i.e. CAD/ CAM) for manufacturing. Experience with designing and fabricating sheet metal components and assemblies. Experience with interpreting and creating computer models and technical drawings used in the manufacture of complex parts.
