Job Description :

Established organization is hiring for an Instructional Designer on a Direct Hire basis! This will be on a remote basis but must be comfortable working a PST time zone. Pay range is $46-50/hr.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative instructor-led and eLearning training materials with clear strategies to achieve defined learning outcomes.
  • Enhance learning solutions by incorporating audio, video, graphics, and animations to boost engagement and comprehension.
  • Research, write, and produce detailed course content including design documents, storyboards, scripts, and other instructional materials using adult learning principles.
  • Maintain and update existing training content within the Learning Management System (LMS), supporting both digital and instructor-led formats.
  • Lead the planning and execution of training programs, collaborating with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and external development partners.
  • Design and deliver learning solutions across various formats including eLearning, instructor-led, self-paced, and blended learning.
  • Apply adult learning principles with a focus on user experience, accessibility standards, and brand alignment.
  • Stay informed on trends in instructional design, learning technologies, and media production to continuously improve training offerings.
  • Provide periodic support for LMS operations and maintenance.
  • Handle sensitive projects and information with discretion.
  • Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Adult Education, or a related discipline.
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Instructional Design and Technology, eLearning Design, Adult Education, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in instructional design and curriculum development, with a strong portfolio demonstrating a range of learning solutions.
  • Experience developing training for technical or specialized industries; background in film, television, or media production is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with safety and compliance training development is preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards for digital learning (e.g., WCAG, Section 508).
  • Knowledge of the Motion Picture and Television Industry, including union structures and workflows.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards such as OSHA (Cal/OSHA and Fed), ANSI, and NFPA.
