Working Title: Instructional Coordinator Master of Computer Information Systems - Open Pool

Position Location: Fort Collins, CO

Work Location: Position is fully in-office/in-person

Proposed Annual Salary Range: Per student basis, commensurate with grading intensity/course size, $70 – $275/student + potential pay lead instructor duties $500 - $1,600/course depending on credits. FTE base salary of $55,550, though generally part-time.

Position Summary: Instructional Coordinators (ICs) bring professional-level industry experience in the specific content areas of the Master of Computer Information Systems (MCIS) program. They work closely with lead faculty instructors to facilitate, extend, amplify, and mediate course instruction with online students. ICs monitor student performance, collaborate with faculty on course content and learning objectives, and provide a high level of student outreach.

Conditions of Employment: Pre-employment Criminal Background Check (required for new hires).

Required Job Qualifications
  • MBA, MSBA, MCIS degree or equivalent from a school of business accredited by the AACSB.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience delivering supplemental teaching/coaching to students.
  • Applicants must have the technology required to serve students online.
Preferred Job Qualifications
  • Five years of full-time professional experience or equivalent teaching experience in the topic area.

Job DutiesInstructional Coordination
  • Reinforce, re-teach, and tutor concepts to students in online sections.
  • Collaborate with lead faculty to create rubrics and online assignments.
  • Grade all student assignments and monitor student activity.
  • Facilitate student success through open communication.
Student Communication
  • Serve as primary liaison between course content and communication for online students.
  • Identify/assess student learning styles and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
Course Preparation
  • Review course materials and collaborate with lead faculty to create assignments.
