The incumbent holds a position of trust and adheres to the policies and procedures that govern the Agency for Persons with Disabilities and Tacachale to ensure the safety of the residents, employees, and visitors of Tacachale. Patrols the grounds to ensure unoccupied buildings are secured, and to look for potentially hazardous situations or suspicious activity. Controls access to Tacachale, processes outgoing and incoming resident trips, assists emergency responders, and responds in all calls for assistance center wide. Answers incoming calls, connects callers to desired parties, documents resident incident reports, maintains several logs, monitors the fire alarm panel, and notifies officers as necessary. In emergencies, contacts the appropriate staff, which includes but is not limited to, all on-call staff, licensed independent practitioners, nurses, center monitors, administration, maintenance, and the Officer of the Day.
