Job SummaryWe are recruiting for an Installation and Commissioning Engineer colleague, for the installation of complex and automated Tetra Pak solutions at our local and global clients. Our Installation & Commissioning team is responsible for the installation, commissioning, and service of Tetra Pak equipment all over the world. Since most of our production is exported to clients globally, you will travel extensively, including both shorter and longer trips (approximately 200 days/year). While based in Edertal, Germany, we welcome applications from candidates located anywhere within Germany.
What you will doAs part of the team, your primary tasks will include:
- Installation and commissioning of new machines and lines
- Hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of existing machines and lines
- Training client machine operators and maintenance staff on Tetra Pak equipment
- Providing advice on optimizing clients' existing lines
- Collaborating closely with mechanical designers and project managers during installation and commissioning, as well as in equipment development and optimization
Learning opportunities:
- Participation in training on Automation or other specific job areas
We believe you have- A broad practical background with a formal engineering education or similar technical qualification, and some years of experience as an automation, mechanical, or electrical engineer
- A natural interest in mechanics and knowledge of PLC programming and software, with the ability to quickly understand complex automated process equipment for the Food Industry
- Good IT skills and proficiency in English; knowledge of German or other languages is advantageous
- Independent, service-minded, and interculturally aware
- Ability to establish good client relations and understand their needs
- Enjoyment of teamwork, with the ability to maintain a helicopter view and manage workload effectively
- Willingness and interest to travel worldwide
- Engagement, a service-oriented mindset, and the ability to work independently
- A decisive, detail-oriented approach that considers the broader context
- Availability to start as soon as possible
