The Regional Manager Installation provides leadership for the Regional Installation Department. Responsible for installation services across the region through coordinating and planning refrigeration and HVAC installation projects and jobs; provides estimates for sales proposals and job bids; forecasts manpower requirements; manages financial performance on projects and jobs including analysis and reporting on job status and performance; maintains positive working relationships and coordination with General Contractors and subcontractors; and ensures customer satisfaction.

• KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of construction industry, principles and practices related to project estimation, labor forecasting, building permits, multiple disciplines involved in area of responsibility e.g. plumbing, electrical, carpentry and fixtures construction.
  • Demonstrated ability manage multiple projects, set and balance competing priorities with strong organization skills and ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills, ability to proactively address customer issues and concerns
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to lead diverse and multi-discipline workforce
  • Knowledge of refrigeration equipment and piping of refrigeration equipment preferred
  • Knowledge of computer-controlled systems preferred
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Good communication (verbal & written) and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated business and project management skills including knowledge of automated project management tools, financial reports and general knowledge of accounting principles
  • Ability to use computer systems (E-Mail, Word, Excel, Work Order Software).

  EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • AA degree from an accredited vocational technical or junior college preferred.
  • 5 - 7 years management experience in construction, refrigeration, or a related industry.
  • 10 years experience in construction, refrigeration, HVAC or a related industry with 5-7 years experience in managing multiple projects and/or multiple business locations.
  Experience in commercial building construction industry required.

• High school diploma, GED, or completion of trade program or technical school. College degree is a plus.
• 10 + years of experience in the refrigeration/HVAC service, commercial construction, or a related industry.
• Knowledge of commercial refrigeration and HVAC principles and practices, including service hour estimation, labor forecasting, and multiple disciplines involved in area of responsibility.
• Proficiency in understanding and managing P&L.
• Demonstrated business acumen.
• Proficiency in managing multiple assignments, setting and balancing competing priorities with strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Ability to solve problems and apply good judgement.
• Excellent verbal/nonverbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Strong customer service skills, including an ability to proactively address customer issues and concerns and ability to forge strong working relationships with customers.
• Knowledge of jobsite safety, ability to oversee work activities to ensure safe work practices and safety rule compliance.
• Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws.
• Ability to use typical business tools including E-Mail, Word, Excel, Work Order/Dispatch Software, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, etc.
• Good driving record.

• Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated experience managing a diverse and multi-discipline workforce.
• Proficient in coaching, training, developing and building a team.
• Proficient in managing time, delegating assignments and following through to ensure good results.
