Construction Observer Halff has a current opening for a Construction Observer in our Little Rock, AR location to act as a company representative on construction sites in the Central Arkansas region. Learn about Halff and our 75th Anniversary! What you will do:
- Perform traditional Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) duties.
- Read & interpret plans and specifications to verify compliance during construction.
- Attend/lead pre-construction and construction progress meetings.
- Oversee Submittal and RFI processes.
- Oversee and coordinate Quality Assurance/Quality Control testing and records.
- Prepare Daily Work Records and construction observation reports.
- Perform all work safely and efficiently.
What you will need: Required:
- 4+ years of active experience in construction observation and inspection.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
- Ability to traverse typical construction site terrain and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to utilize technology to efficiently complete daily work processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams programs.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Drug-free workplace with pre-employment screening and background checks.
- Valid Driver's License and ability to pass an annual motor vehicle record check.
Preferred:
- 2 years of bridge and roadway construction (ArDOT)
- CTTP Certification or ability to obtain required certifications within 8 months from the date of hire.
