Russell Tobin and Associates/Pride Global is currently seeking an INJURY PREVENTION SPECIALIST to work at our client's location in Ontario, California, USA.

Job Title: Injury Prevention Specialist

Pay Rate: $40.00 - $43.00/hour

Contract Duration: 3 months

Schedule:

TRAINING: Wednesday – Saturday 0730-1800

REGULAR SHIFT: Wednesday – Saturday 1800-0430

Location: Onsite in Ontario, California

Potential Overtime: Up to 20 hours/week

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Injury Prevention Specialist for an onsite contract opportunity at a leading logistics and distribution center. In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting workplace health and safety by delivering first aid services, assessing injuries, and providing proactive coaching to reduce workplace risks. This position requires strong clinical skills, a passion for safety education, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer first aid to employees and determine need for outside medical referral.
• Guide employees through non-occupational and occupational injury management.
• Participate in case management and coordinate return-to-work programs.
• Engage with employees on the operations floor to promote safe working habits.
• Maintain detailed records of all care provided and daily shift reports.
• Assist in training sessions, including CPR, AED, and first aid certification classes.
• Monitor and replenish medical supplies and maintain a clean treatment environment.
• Support emergency response procedures and on-site incident management.
• Perform random saliva drug testing protocols as needed.
• Uphold all required safety credentials and certifications.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved ECC provider.
• One or more of the following: Valid EMT or Paramedic Certification (state or NREMT); Active Athletic Trainer Certification (BOC or State); OR At least 6 months of relevant military medical experience within the past year (e.g., Combat Medic, Corpsman).
• Experience managing musculoskeletal injuries, ergonomics, and injury prevention programs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital recordkeeping systems.
• Background in industrial wellness or warehouse/distribution center environments.
