Job Summary The Infusion Assistant will provide various supportive services within the Infusion Department. This position involves maintaining accurate and timely deposits, confirming delivery tickets with month end goals, maintaining office supply inventory for nursing, and assembling set up packets. Performing support and assistance as requested. Minimum Qualifications
  • Clerical, accounting, or office experience within a service-related company helpful
  • Demonstrate computer skills to include word processing as evidenced by proficiency and/or training with applicable software
  • Good mathematical ability
  • Independent worker
  • Ability to set priorities
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • High level of integrity and professional confidentiality mandatory
Work Environment
  • Primarily office work. Occasional travel to other branch locations
  • Overtime may be required
Special Physical Demands
  • Keyboard entries and near visual acuity required
Performance Requirements1. Providing excellent receptionist duties by
  • Answering calls within three rings and properly introducing self in a pleasant clear voice
  • Returning phone messages or other communications promptly, responding calmly to angry or upset customers and avoiding personal calls (or minimizes) to allow customer access to business lines
  • Obtaining enough information to properly route call
  • Efficiently operating the phone system
  • Taking messages, following special requests as given
2. Provides efficient and productive branch support by
  • Understanding task requirements
  • Completing duties thoroughly, professionally and efficiently
  • Maintaining correspondences/requests in confidence
  • Keeping appropriate files (electronic/paper) as requested
  • Maintaining office supply inventory for Infusion office and nursing needs
  • Maintaining forms inventory and stocking forms in appropriate bins
  • Assembling set-up packets for clinical/vendor and enteral patient therapies within the department
  • Assembling charts for pharmacy and nursing therapy
  • Coordinating receipt of completed admission information with appropriate clinical/delivery staff; scan documents to CPR+ and forward originals to Syracuse for processing
  • Maintaining a level of proficiency in CPR+ computer program for sufficient support to all departments as needed
  • Special projects support requested by various departments
  • Filing for departments
  • Other projects/tasks as assigned by Nurse Coordinator, Branch Manager and/or Supervising Pharmacist
  • Assisting with maintaining Clinical Patient Census List
  • Responsible for tracking and submitting to billing nursing and driver delivery tickets for infusion and enteral therapies/services
  • Completing accurate and timely accounting and deposits of branch patient therapy copays
