Job Title: IT Project Manager (Software Development Focus)

Location: Ft. Worth, Texas

Job Type: Contract

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and deliver complex software development and IT infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both technical and business project management, with a passion for driving change and achieving results. This role involves managing full project lifecycles, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring initiatives align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full lifecycle of software development projects from initiation through delivery.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams including internal staff, vendors, and business stakeholders.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, risk registers, and status reports.
  • Communicate project progress, issues, and solutions to stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Enforce project scope, change management, and quality standards.
  • Facilitate post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future processes.
  • Drive adoption of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) across initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship to junior project managers as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of project management experience, preferably in software development or IT infrastructure.
  • Proven experience leading large, cross-functional IT projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a track record of executive stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Ability to drive organizational change and gain buy-in across business and IT functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in organizational change management.
  • PMP certification.
  • Experience with both IT infrastructure and software development environments.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
