We are seeking an accomplished and visionary IT Project Manager to join our team in St.Louis, MO. This role is instrumental in shaping and advancing current project and leading the team.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role at St.Louis, MO is $120K - $130K/year & benefits (see below).

The role:

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and deliver projects from inception to completion related to a known technology, product, or program. Describes and maintains the integrated plan that accounts for internal/external dependencies, differing delivery approaches, numerous constraints, and contingency for unplanned delays.
  • Secures resources, scopes efforts, outlines priorities and establishes delivery milestones.
  • Proactively manage the end-to-end delivery of engineering work through the organization and all dependent organizations, reporting out progress, ensuring dependencies are covered, overseeing the gaps between teams, processes, and systems, while removing all blocking issues leading to a successful delivery. Accelerates progress by driving crisp, timely decisions.
  • Looked to as first point of contact for projects. Can communicate with confidence 3+ levels up.
  • Is the source of truth for status. Transforms raw thoughts into clear and concise communications.
  • Provides right information and associated data about the state of the project to the right audience at the right time.
  • Has experience in and understands industry technologies. Understands their program, product, or O&T domain. Sufficient depth/credibility to be effective with teams they work with. Can competently represent team's services to stakeholders and other teams.
  • Nurtures good working relationships with engineers, managers, and peers
  • Optimizes previously defined approaches for a team or limited area. Can demonstrate improvements using data. Utilizes department mechanisms (i.e. retrospectives, staff meetings, status meetings) to describe and drive continuous improvements.
  • Owns the working backwards document and vision for one or more features
  • Elicits and decomposes business requirements into platform requirements and user stories
  • Coordinates internal forums to collect and identify feature-level development opportunities
  • Contributes near-term input (quarterly) for the platform product portfolio and roadmap, prioritizing the backlog while defining the acceptance criteria for user stories• Recommends trade-off decisions on platform product features/depth of features/backlog items
  • Uses runtime metrics of their services in market as a feedback loop in to the backlog and balances the priorities against new feature requests
  • Owns and manages product documentation ensuring features and associated
  • Makes use of research, user studies, metrics and competitive analysis to understand the platform and business needs for a platform product and inform the backlog
  • Coordinates with interdependent teams on platform product requirements
  • Continuously monitors feature development at the feature level adjusting throughout implementation as needed
  • Reviews product demo against acceptance criteria for the feature setPrepares launches and monitors platform performances, adoption, and operational health for feature sets
  • Supports and participates in post-launch reviews and ensures feedback is reincorporated into the feature
  • Stays aligned with GTM plans for the feature set • Identifies issues that will keep the platform features from delivering on time and/or with the desired requirements and works with internal teams and customer service to identify, classify, and prioritize feature-level customer issues
  • Mentors team members & Assists with candidate selection and onboarding.

Requirements:

  • Ability to plan, execute, monitor, and close projects effectively.
  • Understanding of banking systems, core banking, payment processing, and financial regulations.
  • Familiarity with banking platforms, APIs, and software architecture.
  • Proven experience with methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Kanban.
  • Strong scope, schedule, and risk management skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams including developers, testers, business analysts, and stakeholders.
  • Conflict resolution and motivation skills.
  • Clear articulation of project goals, status updates, and technical requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations such as Basel II/III, AML, KYC, GDPR, and other relevant standards to ensure software compliance.
  • Ability to gather and analyze banking business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Identification and mitigation of project and technical risks, especially in a highly regulated environment.
  • Staying updated with technological advancements, banking trends, and regulatory changes.
