The IT Manager of Global Application Development contributes to the mission by delivering quality IT related application and/or service to global departments, while staying within the predefined budget and timeframe. The end application or service will ultimately enhance the productivity and efficiency of patient care.

The IT Manager works mainly with global departments, on a daily basis. It is significant for the IT Manager to maintain relationships with these departments. The IT Manager follows Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies to design, develop, test, and maintain applications.

The IT Manager ensures that sound practices and processes are used for implementing custom developed and packaged solutions. They maintain productive management-level relationships with the global business functions.

The IT Manager ensures that business area requests for application development services are understood, prioritized, and addressed to improve reliability, productivity, and quality of IT services.

Furthermore, the IT Manager ensures that production systems are performing well and operating without defects to facilitate improvement in customer service and satisfaction.
