Base pay range
$125,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr
Job SummaryAs the I.T. Director for Dant Clayton, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging technology to drive organizational efficiency, ensure data integrity and will own the risk mitigation / contingency planning across all facets of the organization. Your responsibilities are both strategic and tactical, covering implementation of the hardware and software solutions while leading efforts to integrate and streamline business processes. Key outcomes include robust data security, network and system redundancy to minimize risk, team management (internal resources for daily team support and external partners), progress toward real time information with improved clarity and accuracy of information for sound decision making and optimization and integration of key platforms including Salesforce, Procore, Infor (ERP system) and shop floor data systems. This position is based in Louisville, KY and will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer (COO).Duties/Responsibilities
- Stays abreast of the latest technology in networks, ERP systems, CAD, AI / ML, and other hardware / software applications. Provides guidance to the COO on best-in-class technologies for our business environment for improved business performance and great user experiences.
- Own's the risk mitigation program, continuously reviewing our system for gaps / threats and puts tools and programs in place to ensure business continuity in the event of emergency situations or data loss. Oversees security of systems, security audits, networks, and enterprise information.
- Partners with the team on execution of continuous improvement projects and drives business process streamlining efforts & KAIZEN's.
- Partners with Human Resources regarding performance management and employee development initiatives for the assigned direct reports.
- Ultimate responsibility to oversee the company's I.T. ticketing process to ensure adherence to the established timeframes and quality measurements.
- Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
- Develops and / or implements tools for productivity improvement, both internal and external (e.g., online ordering for common components).
- ERP system (CSI) steering committee member, providing guidance and support to optimize and integrate key business functions that drive transaction integrity, improved productivity and minimizes manual effort.
- Works with and provides I.T. support to all departments and business units across the organization.
- Manages the I.T. team including onsite staff and our local network support & cloud providers.

- Ensures an active and effective employee “helpdesk” is in place to address I.T. issues and questions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- I.T. experience in the manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
- Proficient in the latest technology for I.T. systems and management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be collaborative with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Service oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability and willingness to be hands-on and assist in whatever areas require it.
- Excellent analytical and management skills.
- Through understanding of I.T. and practical applications to support the company's goals.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science required; master's degree or MBA preferred.
- Relevant I.T. related professional certifications are highly preferred.
- I.T. management experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- At least eight years of experience managing an I.T. department that is highly CAD / custom products oriented.
- Experience with ERP systems, ideally CSI, driving automation and integration of processes.
- SQL / database skills
- A strong desire to keep abreast of new technology with an ability to implement applicable solutions to drive improved business performance.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able up to lift to 25 pounds at times.
