Information Systems Security Officer Level 2

BTS Software Solutions is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer to execute the Information Assurance mission. This opportunity is for a future award expected in June 2025.

Job Description:

The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) provides support for a program, organization, system, or enclave's information assurance program. Supports proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies. Maintains operational security posture for an information system or program to ensure policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed.

Clearance Requirement:

Top Secret/SCI with Poly

Degree Requirement:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

Relevant Experience:

• Support senior ISSOs in implementing and enforcing security policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Assist with documentation and evaluation of security solutions for processing classified information.
• Manage records on network hardware and software, including system upgrades.
• Develop and maintain documentation for C&A in accordance with ODNI and DoD policies.
• Support the development and update of system security plans and IA documentation.
• Perform security operations and manage security aspects of information systems.
• Administer user identification and authentication mechanisms.
• Obtain C&A for information systems under their purview.
• Plan and coordinate IT security programs and policies.
• Manage changes to systems and assess their security impact.
• Serve as the Approval Authority for systems under their control.

Education and Experience:

A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline is required. Ten years of ISSO experience on similar programs is required, with at least two areas of expertise such as security tools, hardware/software security, communication protocols, or encryption. Compliance with DoD 8570 IAM Level I or higher is required. Alternatively, four years of ISSO experience can substitute for a bachelor's degree.

Pay Range:

$125,000 - $148,000

Note: The pay range is a guideline and considers various factors to establish an equitable and competitive compensation package.
