Information Assurance Specialist - Analytic Services : Job Details

Position Summary:

ANSER is seeking an Information Assurance Specialist to support a large-scale Department of Defense Chief Information Officer (DoD CIO) program supporting Information Enterprise (IE) and Security Access Programs (SAP). In this role you will provide Information Assurance expertise and guidance for compliance with physical security directives and vulnerability identification.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments for physical security accreditation, providing written reports based on the assessments, and recommendations for mitigation actions and techniques.
• Identify network, system, application, and new technology initiatives' security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities.
• Develop, test, and operate firewalls, intrusion detection systems, enterprise anti-virus systems, and software deployment tools.
• Test and debug programs and scripts and prepares instruction for use during network exploitation activities.
• Provide guidance regarding current Information Assurance (IA) policy, tactics, techniques, policy, and doctrine and relationship to IA reporting requirements and structure.
• Assist in the planning and implementation of requirements.
• Establish and satisfy complex system-wide information security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands.
• Support the development and implementation of IA doctrine and policies.
• Apply expertise to government and commercial common user systems and dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures.
• Contribute to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in related field such as computer science, information technology or other similarly related field.
• 5+ years experience in technology and information assurance.
• Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
• Demonstrated understand of Information Assurance best practices and tools.
• Demonstrated understanding of Department of Defense (DoD) information management and technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of DoD Information Enterprise and Special Access Programs
