Industrial Painter - Indiana Staffing : Job Details

The Industrial Painter will be responsible for providing routine and preventative maintenance painting duties, applying paint for a wide range of specialized projects. These projects include large structures, tractors, trailers, agricultural equipment, and various industrial pieces.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare items for painting, including sanding, masking, and repair work.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance painting, including high steel and structural painting, sandblasting, and preparation for zinc, enamel, epoxy, bitumastic, and urethane painting on various surfaces.
• Maintain safety standards during all duties.
• Ensure daily clean-up of facilities.
• Keep the manager informed of any issues that could affect customer satisfaction or billing.
• Maintain the good condition and cleanliness of company vehicles, tools, and equipment, and ensure tools are returned to storage areas.
• Adhere to and promote company values through leading by example and fostering an environment of trust and teamwork.
• Participate in requested job-related training and development, and take an active interest in improving skills through other training programs.
• Follow all company and common sense safety policies, while using all required personal protective equipment.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in painting and paint preparation.
• Experience in industrial painting and spray painting.
• Knowledge of sandblasting and industrial coatings.
• Experience with painting steel, metal, and other structural and heavy equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with operating airless and conventional spray equipment preferred.
• Auto body skills preferred.
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment such as forklifts and hydraulic lifts.
• Capability to lift 50 - 55 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism in the workplace.
• Strong organizational skills.

Pay and Benefits:
