Industrial Hygiene Specialist [JK-14485] - Shirley Parsons : Job Details

An international mining company is looking to hire an Industrial Hygiene Specialist to oversee, coordinate, and assess the effectiveness of health/IH programs at their site in Safford, AZ. The successful candidate will be tasked with supporting occupational health programs and hazard assessments to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

Relocation Assistance will be provided for non-local candidates.

The Role:

• Perform sampling and chemical analysis and maintain inspection records
• Collect air, water, vapors, gases, and dust samples or other potentially toxic materials for analysis
• Develops and recommends appropriate controls for occupational health hazards
• Manage the process to review, approve or reject chemicals for use on site. Serve as a technical expert in chemical analysis, equipment, and processes.
• Maintain current knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, and other regulations and standards.

The Candidate:

• Bachelors degree in Industrial Hygiene, Public Health or related discipline (Required)
• A minimum of 1 year of industrial hygiene experience working in a similar setting
• Previous experience in dealing with asbestos related matters
• Lives near Safford, AZ and happy travelling to the site location daily
