Industrial Equipment Technician - $25-$35/Hour - MID-ATLANTIC WASTE SYSTEMS : Job Details

Salary Range: $25-$35/Hour Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems is a family-owned and operated business that is one of the nation's leading dealers of equipment for the waste and recycling industry. We're currently looking to add an experienced Industrial Equipment Technician to our Compactor team. If you're a confident industrial mechanic with electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, and welding skills, we'd like to talk to you!As an Industrial Equipment Technician, you will:

• Follow all safety procedures such as lockout/tagout, fire watch, and fall protection protocols.
• Repair and or replace motors, pumps, cylinders, and valves.
• Adhere to requirements and maintenance needs of equipment being serviced.
• Torch and cut old chutes, guide rails, etc. for removal
• Install trash compactors, fabricate chutes, and install cardboard balers as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical aptitude
• Possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
• Working mechanical knowledge including the use of hand tools, power tools, measuring devices
• Experience with basic welding, cutting, and layout operations
• Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and reach.
• Must be able to lift and move more than 25lbs without assistance.
• Must be able to get into and out of various vehicles without assistance.
• Ability to pass DOT physical.
