Job Description Job Description Position: Materials Industrial Engineer Location: Warren, MI (75-100% travel - most being local travel to Michigan plants, some country-wide travel) Duration: 6-month contract with possible extensions Compensation: $45/hr to $52/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law. Must Haves: Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering or related engineering field 5 years of experience working as an Industrial Engineer with a focus on materials/material flow Previous experience working at General Motors utilizing GMOS system OR having strong Microsoft Excel experience Experience using AutoCAD and performing plant floor layouts Must be comfortable with up to 75% travel to local plants, may require some further travel occasionally to plants within the Midwest Plusses: Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field 10 years of experience working as an Industrial Engineer with a focus on materials/material flow Job Description: Insight Global is looking for a Materials Industrial Engineer at a large automotive customer. The Materials Industrial Engineer will be responsible for working closely with the manufacturing team to optimize our production processes, ensure product quality, and reduce costs. The ideal candidate will have experience within the automotive industry, experience with industrial engineering, and a passion for driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and can adapt quickly to changing conditions.
