The Role
An Industrial Engineer – Continuous Improvement is responsible for analyzing, optimizing, and enhancing operational processes to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity across an organization. This role plays a critical part in identifying opportunities for improvement using data-driven methodologies and implementing sustainable solutions that align with business goals.
What You'll Do
- Utilize data analytics and modeling techniques to identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction within the function.
- Develop and implement scheduling algorithms and methodologies to optimize distribution schedules.
- Demonstrate strong continuous improvement knowledge and application of toolkit.
- Develop and ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Support plant and transport project improvement initiatives.
- Lead and drive the change process.
- Work with partners and SME (subject matter experts) to identify and resolve any concerns related to the processes and systems.
- Be the operations representative for system change management.
- Flexible schedule and availability during critical times and peaks of the year including project roll out periods.
- Design and implement efficient solutions including but not limited to capacity, productivity, quality and service.
- Collect and analyze data to quantify and validate process improvements.
- Manage projects from start to finish, including cost justification, project planning, execution, training, and go-live support.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field
- Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and lead individuals who are not direct reports
- Comfortable juggling and coordinating multiple projects across several channels simultaneously
- Enjoy operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment under time constraints.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in industrial engineering or related field
- Experience working in a union environment
- Experience working with an automated system.
- Experience with WMS, SAP, data analysis & SQL
- Experience in operations, logistics, warehousing or manufacturing
- Able to write for and work with a wide range of audiences, from executives to line workers
- What we offer:
- The expected compensation for this role is $64,350 - $70,820, depending on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be discussed during the interview process.
