Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Continuous Improvement Teams design and implement programs and projects to improve products, services, or processes aligned with business strategies. They coach teams, establish program performance metrics, and support process excellence initiatives. The Continuous Improvement Coordinator oversees the administration of the TE Operating Advantage (TEOA) deployment goals set by management across the facility. This position is responsible for documenting and ensuring TEOA initiatives are driven throughout the organization. The coordinator must have strong communication skills to ensure lean participation at all levels within the facility. This role provides training to employees, leads kaizen events, and manages projects.

We are currently hiring a Continuous Improvement Analyst at our plant in Hauppauge, NY, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  • Develop site deployment plans aligned with the strategic goals of the business units.
  • Support and incorporate safety initiatives in all kaizen activities and behaviors.
  • Assist the facility leadership in setting the vision for the site and developing gap plans and actions to achieve this vision. Help implement the vision as needed.
  • Identify and organize resources required for successful implementation.
  • Administer and support project teams and development plans at both site and functional levels.
  • Develop the skill levels of practitioners and personnel to sustain Lean & Six Sigma projects.
  • Monitor progress against plans, continuous improvement achievements, and progression to higher star assessment levels.
  • Report site performance against star-level assessments.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities to enhance overall effectiveness and meet metrics and goals.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement.
  • Work with finance to account for savings, track, validate, and report results.
  • Provide training and guidance in Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and change.
  • Build strong relationships across functions.
  • Assist in identifying production requirements within the Value Stream, ensuring alignment with process departments, and developing deployment plans.
  • Develop and deploy daily accountability processes for the value stream, employing problem-solving methodologies to address root causes and develop countermeasures.
Candidate Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • Certified TEOA Practitioner or willing to obtain certification within the first year.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Lean practitioner with proven success in value streams related to production, logistics, or engineering, including financial acumen.
  • Experience with problem-solving tools such as Six Sigma, 8D, QOS, etc.
  • DMAIC Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to facilitate large groups.
  • Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management.
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset.
  • Effective teaching and coaching abilities.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and motivate teams.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITSCompetitive salary range: $99,000 - $148,500 (dependent on location and experience). Includes benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), disability, life insurance, stock purchase plan, paid time off, and voluntary benefits.
