Job Description :

Join our dynamic team at the West Fraser Lumber Mill in Henderson, Texas, as an Industrial Electrician! In this pivotal role, you will apply your skills to troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance all electrical systems within a thriving manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct tests on electrical systems and circuits to ensure functionality.
  • Inspect electrical systems and components to identify hazards and defects for repair.
  • Troubleshoot, program, and upgrade Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
  • Collaborate with vendors to identify required parts and recommend purchases to your Supervisor.
  • Understand and update instrumentation loop diagrams and E & I drawings.
  • Program AC & DC variable speed drivers efficiently.
  • Enhance power distribution systems, including MCC and switch gears.
  • Install various electrical equipment to support facility operations.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proficient in lock-out procedures.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication abilities.
  • Strong problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • A team player with high motivation levels.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, and be on-call for 24/7 support.
  • 4-5 years of electrical experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical examination, and background check.

Experience with:

  • Allen Bradley PLC5 and ControlLogix 5000.
  • Allen Bradley Panelviews and communication protocols like Devicenet & Ethernet.
  • Scanning and optimization systems within the lumber industry.
  • Process network communication systems, including Ethernet and fiber optics.
