• Title: Industrial Electrical Technical Trainer Manufacturing Setting
• Location: Eddyville, IA primarily. Traveling to other sites up to 25% of the time.
• Salary: Full Time Salaried, up to $85,500 depending on education and experience
• Hours: Monday Friday, hours are typically dayshift. Some off-shift training may be required for overnight team members. Schedule is subject to change based on client and employee needs.
• Travel: Average 25-35%

Training Team Engagement: Partner with trainer peers weekly in training team meetings, peer training review and content development review and collaboration. 1:1s meetings with Training Program Manager and Site Managers. Biweekly meetings with Supervisors to review employee skills development. Robust engagement and partnership to upskill employees and pivot when the need arises. Timely and transparent sharing of records, tracking, training agendas, schedules, travel plans and reactive changes as required.

Curriculum Development and Delivery: Creating, collaborating with other creators, delivering, and continuously improving training curriculum for skills related to industrial manufacturing, electrical maintenance and theory.

Classroom Training: Providing classroom training on electrical theory, tools, equipment, systems and processes in manufacturing.

Hands-on Training: Providing practical, hands-on experience with industrial electrical tools, equipment and systems in the field, simulation lab or shop environment.

Remote Training: Providing remote, on-screen training in a classroom setting to local and distance learners.

Online Training: Assigning modules, overseeing and proctoring learners participating in online training.

Recordkeeping and Tracking: Recording and maintaining training documents, tracking classroom training coursework and hours are core responsibilities of this role.

Safety Focus: Emphasizing and enforcing strict adherence to company, OSHA and client safety standards and procedures related to electrical work. Commitment to safety and a thorough understanding of electrical safety regulations and procedures.

Evaluation and Feedback: Assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing effective assessment strategies in partnership with Supervisor and other managers.

Curriculum Updates: Staying up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and incorporating them into the training curriculum. Solid knowledge of NEC standards.

Operations Partnership: Partner with employees Supervisor to

• observe and mentor in the field to ensure the proper maintenance and upkeep of client's equipment and facilities through demonstration of trained skills on the job.
• track validated and assigned capability scores for employees
• set training priorities for each employee and develop a training plan
• schedule training and deliver training efficiently
• meet KPIs for training program metrics

Employee Support: Providing guidance and mentorship to students throughout their training program.

Collaboration: Working with other trainers and training program manager, departments, and partners to ensure training programs meet the needs of the team. Pivoting to address concerns and solve problems as needed.

The ideal candidate has the following:

• 5+ years' experience in industrial manufacturing setting NFPA70E requirements. Experience with maintaining electrical components such as relays, valves, transformers, motor controls, power distribution, heat traces, calibration, meters and other hand-held instruments and tools.
• Journeyman's license
• 5+ years' experience teaching trade skills in the classroom and on the job.
• Experience teaching NFPA70 requirements, CPR and AED
• Experience in designing and delivering training programs, preferably in a technical or vocational setting.
• Solid experience delivering classroom training in person and remotely on screen, as well as in field/on the job training on live equipment in facility.

Required:

• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of industrial equipment, electrical systems, other relevant industrial processing with 5+ years' experience in the field on tools.
• Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate technical information to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing. Savvy with remote communications and experience with managing distance employee learners a plus. Comfortable with being recorded in training sessions.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to guide students in developing skills to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport with students and leaders, provide guidance and mentorship, and foster a positive learning environment.
• Computer Technology Experience: Using and communicating with computer software technology. Microsoft Suite and Teams software experience a must for success in this role.
• Detail Oriented: Must be highly organized and have experience tracking information in multiple tools and reporting platforms. Time management skills are critical.
